Mercuryo is a global crypto payment infrastructure company that provides fiat-to-crypto on-ramps and off-ramps for wallets, exchanges, and fintech products. As Mercuryo grew, launching new products and forming new partnerships, it became clear that the old website no longer met the company's needs and required a redesign. The task was to build a site that could handle Mercuryo's challenging B2B2C positioning. It had to work on two levels at once: come across as a reliable partner for large fintech and crypto projects, clearly communicating the advantages of working with Mercuryo, and at the same time build a memorable brand for the end user, the person who ultimately buys and sells crypto inside partner apps.

In total, 10 pages were created from scratch: the homepage, three product pages, blog, careers, about, legal, press, and a contact form. Working under the Digital Art Director, I handled a wide range of tasks: communicating with product owners, designing pages from scratch, adapting desktop layouts for mobile, prototyping, creating animations and interactions, building and maintaining the design system, working with the development team, preparing and handing off layouts, resolving their questions and issues, and implementing content updates.

An important part of the project was prototyping the hero blocks for the product pages. After the homepage, these are the most important pages on the site, and they needed to make a bright, memorable impression. The main challenge is that animating prototypes in Figma requires building several frames with key animation states, where individual elements may be hidden or moved outside the frame. To keep them editable, every element had to be created as a component. This makes it possible to edit the same element across all frames at once, regardless of its visibility.

Over the course of the project, I built an extensive component library. It included small elements such as buttons, cards, and typographic compositions, as well as full screens, animations, and menus reused across different pages. My responsibilities also included selecting and generating images, working with the company's photo and video archives, collecting and processing logos, drawing icons and other vector elements. Every block and layout, of course, required both desktop and mobile versions, each with its own grid and set of styles.
